People:
Using QGIS software, GisPoint’s GIS specialists spent more than 4 months to complete this project to the highest standards.

Technology and Software:
QGIS software was used for this project, which is one of the leading tools in the field of geographic information systems. QGIS allows you to work efficiently with spatial data, providing a wide range of functions for processing, analysing and visualising geographic information. The project involved specialised modules for converting data from DMF to Shapefile format, as well as tools for correcting topological errors that occurred during processing. The high functionality of QGIS allowed our team to achieve high accuracy and data quality that met the project requirements.

Process & Challenges

Process:
The data was carefully collected from state registers to ensure its relevance and accuracy. The data was processed in QGIS, with special attention to maintaining topological integrity and avoiding overlaps or cuts within the plots.

Challenges:
During the implementation of this project, GisPoint and our specialists faced a number of serious challenges.

Here are the main challenges we faced:

Ensure the conversion of land plots without topological errors such as cuts or overlaps.
Accurate inclusion of all specified attributes for each land plot.

Result

The project was successfully completed on time, with all 115,000 land plots converted to Shapefile format with all the necessary attributes. The quality of the work met the highest requirements, satisfying the client’s needs.
