GIS-Point is a geospatial technology partner that combines two units under one company: Data Production and Software & Platforms. The Data Production unit runs back-office geospatial processing at industrial scale - LiDAR, photogrammetry, vectorisation, CAD/BIM and NUAR-ready data. The Software & Platforms unit builds custom GIS platforms, AI/ML pipelines and IoT spatial integrations, and provides embedded development teams. Both draw on the same engineering team, which works in CRS, topology and PostGIS from day one.

How is GIS-Point different from a general software agency or a data-entry outsourcer?

The engineers learned geospatial in the field before they learned it in a framework, so CRS, topology and spatial data structures are not a learning curve on your project. The company works on an open-standards stack - PostGIS, GeoServer, OGC, FastAPI, React, GDAL - rather than proprietary lock-in. Every project runs with a named team of BSc+ geospatial engineers under NDA, not an anonymous ticket queue. Rework runs under 7%, against a 15-40% industry average.

How established is the company, and who is behind it?

GIS-Point was established in 2009 as the dedicated geospatial engineering unit of Mirnychyj Engineering Group, and is UK-registered under English-law contracts. It became the data-processing partner in 2018, launched the Software & Platforms unit in 2021, and shipped its own SaaS platform, allgis.io, in 2024. To date the team has delivered 570+ projects across 12+ countries. It is led by CEO & Owner Ievgen Lavrishko and CTO Andrii Nedvyha.

Where are you based and under what contracts do you work?

GIS-Point operates from four offices: a London HQ and sales office on English-law contracts, client-facing; a Tallinn sales office for EU operations, an Estonian e-Residency entity; a Karlsruhe office for the German-speaking DACH market; and a Lviv engineering centre staffed by 25+ BSc+ geospatial engineers. Contracts are English-law from the UK entity.

Every seat is a BSc+ geospatial engineer, and each client gets a named team rather than rotating anonymous staff. Output runs through validation before delivery, which is how rework stays under 7% - against a 15-40% industry average. The company is an active open-source geospatial contributor (OSGeo / QGIS) and holds memberships including AGI (Association for Geographic Information), RASE and Agri-TechE.
